Trail Maintenance

Members of the Friends of Killens Pond State Park meet twice monthly, year round, to maintain the trails and other various tasks to keep our park accessible and beautiful.

Crews meet the second and fourth Thursday of each month (weather permitting) to spread wood chips on the trails, build-repair-maintain bluebird boxes in the park, build and replace worn picnic tables, and remove invasive species within the park, as we find them.

Workers meet up at the Maintenance Shed, which is located at the end of the service road by the main entrance to the park, at 9:00 a.m, and work until about noon.

Anyone is welcomed to join the crew (member or not), and a contact number will be provided soon.
